About The Position

As a Sr Business Development Manager here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will use your global knowledge of mobile HVAC systems and system components, the automotive industry and not-in-kind climate control technologies to defend the current business and to pursue opportunities for growth in the OEM and aftermarket segments for the Solstice Auto business. You will develop the key linkages to car and truck OEM and Tier 1 engineering teams to share new Solstice offerings as well as to gain new information. You will partner closely with the following Solstice functions: government relations, BRL technology and strategic marketing allowing contributions to the businesses’ 5-year STRAP plan. You will also regularly interact with regulators to advocate for new MAC solutions in the USA and Europe. Responsibilities

  • Act as primary day-to-day contact with engineering people at carmakers (OEMs). Find the highest probability opportunities for new solutions and operate as the liaise between our GR, technology and business functions and the OEM engineering community
  • Contribute to the effort to accelerate new aftermarket products or services (ie: DTYF)
  • Partner with Tier 1 suppliers to identify and develop new opportunities for Solstice products and programs at OEMs
  • Primary point of contact at industry standards-setting groups (MACS, SAE, AHRI, ASHRE, VDA, JAMA, CATARC, CAA or the like). Help build a path for timely new product adoption by contributing to standards setting
  • Work toward gaining leadership positions in auto industry associations or standards setting organizations
  • Working with regulators at the Federal and State levels, advocate for regulations to facilitate conversion of trucks, buses, trains, off road and commercial, construction equipment to HFOs from HFCs. Work with truck, bus and other heavy-duty OEMs to convert the industry
  • Help to segment and prioritize customers, Tier 1s and other 3rd party partners to accelerate growth and contribute to the success of Solstice’s future sales
