About The Position

The Sr Business Analyst position within Deloitte's Independence Consultation team focuses on ensuring compliance with auditor independence rules and regulations. The role involves reviewing proposed business relationships to identify potential independence threats, thereby supporting Deloitte's growth while managing regulatory and reputational risks. The successful candidate will utilize analytical and investigative skills to promote compliance and enhance the business relationship clearance process.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Strong technology skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

• Knowledge of independence requirements for professional accounting firms
• Prior public accounting (Big 4), consulting, or regulatory compliance experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and prioritize amidst multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Promote and monitor compliance with auditor independence rules and regulations.
• Review business relationship submissions in the Third Party Risk Management Gateway.
• Perform follow-ups with third parties and internal teams for additional information.
• Document, review, and perform complex analyses regarding potential business relationships.
• Consult with ICN leaders and various compliance groups regarding business relationship reviews.
• Create and present training sessions related to the Third Party Risk Management system.
• Answer questions related to the business relationship clearance process.
• Communicate business relationship clearance status updates.
• Monitor and institute data quality in the process and tools.
• Identify potential enhancements to the business relationship clearance process and tools.
• Work with technology development on enhancements and perform user acceptance testing.
• Mentor and train members of the Business Relationships team.
• Complete other assigned tasks and projects accurately and timely.
