About The Position

The Role Would you like to be responsible for helping save GM millions of dollars of structural cost and add to EBIT? Are you looking to leverage your analytical skills to ensure GM and our dealers operate within the confines of laws that vary by state? Can you help us gain insights into massive amounts of data pouring in every single day? Our business analysis team supports operational improvement and business decision-making through ad-hoc statistical analysis of retail dealer supplied data, curated enterprise data and self-constructed data sets. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) This position will provide multiple career growth opportunities by providing advanced work in Brand Quality, Warranty, and data analytics. Thrive in challenging situations working with cross-function teams to resolve complex issues Embrace practices that keep GM vehicles safe for our customers and the public at large Build statistical models & perform testing to depict performance trends Proactively provide guidance to improve vehicle quality Ensure compliance and help control costs associated with State and Federal legislation Lead projects to reduce warranty costs Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Automotive Technology, Computer Science or related degree 3-5 years of experience with Technical acumen to understand different types of automotive components , systems and functionality Experience with Power BI, PowerApps, Dataverse, SQL or other analytical tools related Advanced Problem-Solving Skills High-level of Independent Judgment and Decision-Making High-level of capability to Work Independently Advanced Technical and Analytical Abilities Understanding of data gathering, inspecting Advanced Interpersonal Skills and ability to Clearly Communicate What Can Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) Experience in Service/Warranty/Quality business, processes, or systems Exceptional Presentation Skills Business Intelligence/Reporting tools: Excel, Cognos Experience in retail automotive fixed operations (Parts, Service or Body) Advanced Business Plan Development Skills Possess a mechanical aptitude and like to know what makes things tick #LI-AP1 GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. Requirements
