Position Purpose: The Sr. Business Analyst, Pricing Analytics will support the efforts to provide subject matter expertise, project management, and analytical support to the development and execution of Home Services Pricing Strategies. The Sr. Analyst will perform analysis of data, build presentations, and will solve business questions using their insights, analytics, and judgement. The Sr. Analyst will support merchants directly by helping them understand their business, test pricing strategies, and helping them achieve their objectives. The Sr. Analyst will also work with cross functional partners, including field personal, finance, merchandising operations, marketing and others to ensure end to end thinking on strategy and execution. The Sr. Analyst will conceive, develop and implement a system and process to gather competitive pricing information from disparate sources; merchants, field personnel, third party providers and others. The Sr. Analyst will conduct detailed pricing and gross margin variance analysis by product by market and other ad hoc financial analysis to support program management.

  • Lead all phases of a project's life cycle including defining the business need, establishing criteria and business requirements, understanding the impact to the business and designing and rolling out the project
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and perform research and/or analysis within assigned projects or category of business
  • Establish and report on metrics of assigned projects or categories to gauge business value
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
  • Prior experience in the application of research findings to the retail environment, brand management or category management essential
  • Understanding of competitive intelligence and Home Improvement marketplace product and services knowledge
  • Understanding of pricing and statistics
  • Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Tableau and other statistical software or pricing packages (i.e. SAS, Minitab, DemandTec)
  • Prior experience in a consulting and/or project management role within a corporate environment preferred.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
