Position Overview The Senior Business Analyst, Genetics & Health Information Technology (HIT) Integration plays a key role in enabling the commercial adoption and scalable growth of PreventionGenetics’ genetic testing portfolio by improving ordering and resulting experiences. Partnering closely with Commercial Operations, Sales, Business Development, IT, Customer Support, Revenue Cycle, Program Management, and Laboratory stakeholders, this role drives initiatives that simplify customer workflows, streamline internal processes, and enhance the reliability and adoption of electronic ordering and resulting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, Information Systems, Engineering, or field as outlined in the essential duties; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Business Analysis / Technical Business Analysis / Integration Analysis / Implementation / Solutions-focused roles with demonstrated ownership of delivery artifacts and cross-functional execution.
  • 1+ years of experience working in Health Information Technology, Marketing, or Commercial field(s).
  • Strong technical understanding on how healthcare systems operate.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and document requirements and translate needs into solution designs, test plans, and implementation-ready documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting healthcare interoperability and/or EHR-related workflows in a client-facing or cross-functional delivery environment.
  • Experience in process and systems improvement, including testing/validation, user training, SOP development, and post go-live support.
  • Experience coordinating complex dependency chains (i.e., adapters, order ingress, discrete results delivery, document exchange workflows).
  • Familiarity with interface engine concepts and integration operations (i.e., message flow, queuing, downtime/maintenance impacts, dependent systems).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices, user stories, and backlog management.
  • Demonstrated success influencing others and building strong cross-functional partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial Operations, Sales, IT, Revenue Cycle, Program Management, Lab, and other stakeholders to identify and deliver improvements across ordering, resulting, and commercial workflows.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business and functional requirements into clear, implementation-ready artifacts, including process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead the analysis and improvement of internal processes and systems impacting ordering and resulting, including design, testing, validation, training, and post-go-live support.
  • Define, track, and communicate initiative success metrics, delivering leadership-ready insights and recommendations related to adoption, reliability, and operational readiness.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for products and test menus during client-facing HIT/Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Lab Information Systems (LIS) integration efforts, supporting current- and future-state workflow design.
  • Elicit and document interoperability and integration requirements, coordinating cross-functional delivery, testing, go-live readiness, and issue resolution with internal teams and vendors.
  • Monitor post-launch adoption and performance, incorporating stakeholder feedback to drive iterative workflow enhancements and reduce exceptions.
  • Work independently to solve complex problems, lead project workstreams, influence cross-functional partners, and serve as a resource to less-experienced colleagues while upholding company values and quality standards.
