About The Position

Control Solutions Group (CSG), an EMCOR Group company, is seeking an experienced Senior Building Automation Engineer to join our growing team. The Sr. Building Automation Engineer is responsible for producing timely and accurate submittals for mechanical engineering approvals, generating controller software sequences, building workstations and server database with graphics and reporting tools. The Sr. Building Automation Engineer is a technical expert that is responsible for ensuring the technical quality and consistency of engineering work, improving team efficiency, and assisting with the technical training of engineers and technicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Significant, demonstrable experience in BAS engineering, with a proven track record of providing technical supervision or senior-level guidance to a team.
  • High capability and deep experience with Automated Logic hardware and WebCTRL platform.
  • High capability with drafting software such as AutoCAD, Visio, or similar applications, for creating and modifying technical submittal drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of various BAS platforms, protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks), and software applications.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical priorities and initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Submittal Drawing Production: Directly produce and manage the development of Building Automation System (BAS) submittal drawings, sequence of operations, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and other required contract documents necessary for project approval and execution.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain a strong, hands-on understanding of technical details. Act as a senior subject matter expert and provide guidance on complex system architecture and problem resolution.
  • Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance: Provide hands-on technical guidance to the engineering team. This includes reviewing and validating team members' work for technical accuracy and adherence to standards, while offering specialized coaching and mentorship on design and execution.
  • Engineering Process Improvement: Identify and implement systems and processes at the team level to improve engineering efficiency and productivity. Continuously look for ways to enhance product quality and performance within active projects.
  • Project Execution Support: Provide hands-on technical support and oversight throughout the project lifecycle, from design and configuration to final delivery and commissioning, helping the team meet project schedules and budgets. Coordinate with project managers and other departments to accomplish technical project goals.
  • Training and Mentorship: Assist in the development and delivery of technical training modules for engineers and technicians to ensure the team is up-to-date with current technologies and standards.
