About The Position

The Senior Branch Advisor serves as a financial guide and trusted resources for our members, helping them navigate both immediate needs and long-term goals. This role blends advisory expertise with operational excellence, ensuring members receive personalized solutions while the branch functions smoothly and efficiently. The Senior Branch Advisor plays a key role in deepening member relationships, supporting team development and contributing branch growth. The Senior Branch Advisor will be required to obtain a certified financial counselor designation within one year of employment, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional financial guidance to our members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Additional education in finance, business or related field is a plus.
  • 1+ years’ experience in banking and customer service with a strong focus on providing exceptional service to members.
  • Certified Financial Counselor designation required within one-year of hire.
  • Certified financial counselor designation, or ability to obtain within one-year of employment.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services, including deposits, loans, and electronic banking.
  • Basic understanding of loan products, IRAs, and specialty accounts
  • Excellent communication and people skills to effectively interact with members and team members.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, prioritization skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using banking software, computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and committed to maintaining accurate records and transactions.
  • Ability to uphold the credit union’s values and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with other departments and teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Professional appearance required.
  • Strong commitment to fostering a member-centric culture with strong emphasis on delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ability to participate branch activities, financial literacy presentations and community events for branch awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Engage members in meaningful conversations to understand their financial goals and provide tailored advice on customer and business accounts. Loan products and specialty services.
  • Recommend appropriate Achieva products and services, including referrals to business partners to enhance member value and satisfaction.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Trusts, Powers of Attorney (POAs), and other specialty accounts.
  • Address member inquiries and concerns with professionalism and care, both in person and over the phone.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership and team members to meet and exceed sales and growth goals.
  • Utilize RSS tools, including Sugar and Coconut, to support service and sales activities and ensure a consistent member experience.
  • Actively contribute to planned initiatives led by the Branch Development Manager (BDM) and Assistant Branch Manager (ABM).
  • Accurately open and maintain consumer, business, and specialty accounts, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Serve as the point of contact for loan application within the branch, guiding members through the process with clarity and confidence.
  • Process teller transactions and account maintenance efficiently, adhering to all transactional policies and procedures.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to peers, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of management, ensuring seamless branch operations and member service.
  • Address member escalations with empathy and effectiveness, reinforcing trust and loyalty.
  • Take responsibility for branch opening and closing procedures and ensure daily operations meet security and service standards.
  • Participate in Certified Financial Counselor (CFC) activities and obtain certification within one year of employment.
  • Represent the credit union with professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all interactions and responsibilities.
  • Support leadership initiatives that position the credit union as a top employer.
  • Take initiative to perform other essential functions as needed to support the team.
  • Be available to work evenings and weekends to meet member and business demands.
