About the position
The Sr. Boomi Developer position focuses on aligning business requirements with development activities within the Enterprise Data team. The role involves collaborating with the Principal Solutions Architect and Sr. Business Analyst to create software solutions that deliver measurable benefits to the business unit. The selected candidate will also assist in implementing development and security best practices across the enterprise, while identifying opportunities for improvement that align with long-term strategic plans. This position requires exceptional software development experience, strong analytical abilities, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly document the development process to achieve a repeatable, efficient process that non-technical resources can adopt.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency throughout the entire enterprise.
- Communicate difficult and complex scenarios in an easily perceived manner.
- Participate in every stage of the SDLC; specifically, requirements analysis, design, and development.
- Understand common enterprise architecture patterns and development best practices.
- Comprehend multiple APIs, integrations, and the implications of certain architecture decisions.
- Work closely with Principal Solutions Architect and Sr. Business Analyst to deliver software solutions for the enterprise.
- Align requirements with applications and technology.
- Present complex ideas to Marvin leadership via presentations and demonstrations.
- Work in a Cloud-first API-led environment.
Requirements
- Thorough technical understanding of APIs and file-based integrations.
- Knowledge of message-based implementations and their use cases.
- Experience with object-oriented languages such as Java and/or Groovy.
- Ability to decompose complexity into small, atomic, reusable modules.
- Required experience with enterprise design patterns.
- Strong experience with JSON and/or XML; design implications.
- Ability to lead peer reviews and mentor junior team members.
- Knowledge of and experience with scripting languages such as Perl and Python.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Boomi, Javascript, Scripting, API, Integration, Agile, Azure.
