About The Position

Requirements

  • Masters' Degree or foreign equivalent in Material Science, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Nanoengineering, or related field and two years of experience in the medical device industry; OR Bachelors' Degree or foreign equivalent and five years of experience.
  • At least two years' experience in biosensor design based on electrochemistry and materials physics.
  • Experience in wafer microfabrication, thin film coatings, and nanomaterial processing.
  • Familiarity with surface analysis and electrochemical characterization techniques.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ECO, and BOM.
  • Experience with in vitro and in vivo testing of medical devices.
  • Proficient in MATLAB, JMP, and/or Minitab.
  • Knowledge of DOE, RCA, Gage R&R, and IQ/OQ/PQ.
  • Experience working with external suppliers and vendors.
  • Ability to draft technical documentation, including specifications and engineering reports.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical research in biosensor design.
  • Develop next-generation glucose and multianalyte sensors for CGM applications.
  • Establish wafer fabrication and thin film coating processes.
  • Characterize biosensor materials using physical and electrochemical techniques.
  • Design biosensor electrode layouts using CAD software.
  • Review and approve design, process, and BOM changes through ECOs.
  • Analyze signals from biosensor prototypes from in vivo and in vitro studies.
  • Leverage DOE, RCA, and analytical data methodologies to optimize sensor performance.
  • Perform Gage R&R, IQ, OQ, and PQ for validation of precision instruments.
  • Engage with external suppliers and vendors to ensure compliance with quality metrics.
  • Communicate findings through presentations and technical documentation.
