The Senior Branch Service Representative will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities: Receives and verifies sufficient cash from supervisor or designee, to handle daily cash disbursements. Balances cash receipts and prepares daily work summary envelopes. Opens various credit union accounts, including IRAs, trusts, term certificates, shares and share draft accounts. Interviews loan applicants, counsels members regarding consumer loan options, prepares documents and loan records, and makes sound recommendations to loan officers. Discloses and funds approved loans. In the event a loan is denied, explains reason for loan decision. Assists with the maintenance, control, and security of vault cash, including ordering of cash and verifying shipments upon arrival. Assists to maintain appropriate control over Instant Issue ATM cards, checking account starter kits, cashier's checks, money orders, etc., while maintaining appropriate supply levels. Assists to train staff and communicates any changes to procedures or promotional information in a timely manner Assists in scheduling staff to ensure proper coverage, while satisfying all applicable wage and hour laws.
