About The Position

Sr. Backend Engineer, Direct Hire Hybrid 3x a week in downtown Seattle Huge impact opportunity: Build and scale a company from the ground up, work with founders on a daily basis. Our client is a private, personalized, and AI-powered professional development tool. As a mission-focused and fast-growing startup based in Seattle, with a team that includes alumni from top tech companies. The ideal candidate has experience building scalable backend services with a customer focus, powering delightful user experiences. This role also requires you to architect right-sized solutions that are easy to maintain, secure, and provide a platform for the future. Efficiently collaborating with product management and other engineers, while deliving high-quality code.

Requirements

5+ years of professional development experience, shipping production code
Able to write professional-quality code in a commonly used backend language (Python, Typescript, Java, etc.)
Experience building at scale with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Humility, creativity, and team-first attitude, with a love for learning
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
