About the position

The Sr. Azure DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting and managing CI/CD pipelines within the EFT organization, specifically under the HRIT's Data Engineering team. This hands-on engineering position focuses on deploying data solutions and overseeing DevOps processes tailored for a data-centric team. The role requires strong experience with CI/CD tools and practices, as well as technical expertise in Oracle and shell scripting, all within an Agile team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient production deployment.
  • Perform data-focused DevOps tasks, including deployment and management of Oracle-related services.
  • Develop and support CI/CD processes using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, UCD, Harness, and Artifactory.
  • Write and execute basic SQL queries in Oracle and perform data movement within the Oracle environment.
  • Collaborate closely in daily Agile ceremonies, including standups, and work within a Kanban-based workflow.
  • Implement changes and support production environments using ServiceNow for change management.
  • Utilize cloud platforms like PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) and OpenShift to manage and deploy data services.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in CI/CD processes, particularly with GitHub, Jenkins, UCD, Harness, and Artifactory.
  • Basic proficiency in Oracle, including the ability to deploy services and write SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Linux and PowerShell for scripting.
  • Experience in Agile development, understanding Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for change management and production deployments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or Azure.
  • Prior experience with the same client, especially in a data-centric or ETL-focused role.
  • Background in financial services is a plus, though not required.
