We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong DevOps and AWS background to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have consulting experience, ideally with government or public sector clients, and a proven track record of delivering scalable, secure, and automated cloud solutions in large enterprise environments.

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable AWS cloud infrastructures for enterprise applications.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, CodePipeline, or similar.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, developers, security) to design and implement DevOps best practices.
  • Build monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using tools like CloudWatch, ELK stack, or Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Apply cloud governance, compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST), and security best practices in deployment and configuration.
  • Support migration and modernization of legacy systems into the cloud.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
  • Work closely with clients in a consulting capacity, understanding business needs and translating them into technical solutions.
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering and DevOps roles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM).
  • Strong experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes or ECS.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD, GitOps, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience working in consulting environments and directly with external clients.
  • Experience with public sector or government clients is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST, or HIPAA.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise cloud environments.
  • AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect – Professional, DevOps Engineer – Professional).
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Experience integrating with tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust architecture and cloud-native security models.
