About The Position

The Sr. Avionic Tech position at Aviation Technical Services involves performing complex, routine, and non-routine repairs, checks, and installations of all Avionics systems on aircraft. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED AND one year as an ATS Avionics Technician II OR 5 years recent relevant avionics experience.
• Airframe license is required.
• Detailed knowledge of Avionics systems and their operation.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic to complex problems in Avionics systems.
• Broad knowledge of other aircraft systems such as hydraulic and flight controls.
• Ability to perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with advanced Avionics test equipment.
• Proven ability to work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Repair, modify, install, and perform routine and non-routine maintenance of all Avionics systems.
• Interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and system schematics to determine repair methods.
• Troubleshoot and isolate defective components using knowledge of aircraft systems.
• Assist Leads with planning, production, and quality assurance of assigned projects.
• Train and develop Technicians as needed.
• Utilize Avionics test equipment for systems testing and maintain hand tools for repairs and installations.
• Communicate work progress and problems to leadership and co-workers.
• Operate ground support equipment as required.
