Wood's Automation and Controls group is currently recruiting for a part time Sr. Automation Technical Professional to be located near a client site in Baton Rouge, LA. Join us and be part of an agile working team that can support office and homed based assignments. This role will work in the office\home and as well as on site at client facilities. The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively and diligently as an individual engineer and team member in front of both internal and external customers. Our automation team works on hands-on projects that span the full spectrum - from small integration projects to Main Automation Contractor programs for large, multi-EPC projects. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred, will also consider Technical Diploma with equivalent Experience.
• Proficient knowledge of P&IDs and instrumentation/control equipment.
• 15+ years of experience in control systems integration with an operating company, systems vendor or engineering services provider for onshore or offshore oil & gas / energy industry projects is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with programming SIS (Triconex, Honeywell FSC, Safety Manager) is desirable.
• Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Expert written and verbal communication skills
• Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required

Responsibilities

• Facilitate client review and update work instructions
• Strong familiarity of best execution practices for the work instructions is required.
• Part time position based in Baton Rouge, LA.
