About The Position

In this role you will lead our vehicle level software testing activities, mainly for body controls, automating tests at the vehicle/labcar level. You will use cutting edge technology and leverage AI to help streamline our testing process, helping to ensure robustness of our features. You will eventually lead a small team of automation engineers to expand our automated testing coverage across multiple platforms and vehicle brands.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (or greater) in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or other related field
• 5+ years of experience testing complex systems – automotive or aerospace background preferred
• Strong systems engineering mindset
• Familiarity with EV platforms and understanding of vehicle software architecture
• Proficient in data analysis
• CAN/LIN/Ethernet network understanding
• Basic Python coding skills
• Ability to apply creative and critical thinking to solve problems and deliver exceptional results
• Good team player with excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to travel domestically/internationally (up to 25%).

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution and definition of vehicle-level software validation testing on labcars across several vehicle platforms
• Define additional test cases to be automated using our hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) equipment and document outlined procedures in Jama
• Identify and advocate for process improvements that will lead to increased operational efficiency
• Report on re-occurring issues, while actively engaging with relevant internal and/or external parties to drive the issue to resolution
• Perform data analysis to diagnose test failures and propose robust solutions
• Troubleshoot software/electrical issues with test equipment and test vehicles
• Prioritize efforts to prepare the test automation platform for upcoming changes on the development roadmap
