About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Attorney to join our legal team in Chicago. The Senior Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the company on a wide range of matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, and litigation.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Illinois
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney
Strong knowledge of contract law, regulatory compliance, and litigation
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Proven track record of providing sound legal advice and managing complex legal matters
Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and support to the company on a variety of matters, including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and litigation
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including joint venture agreements, service agreements, and other commercial contracts
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in all aspects of the company's operations
Conduct legal research and provide analysis and recommendations on legal issues affecting the company
Represent the company in legal proceedings, including arbitration and litigation
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including government agencies, legal counsel, and other industry professionals
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company and provide guidance on compliance and risk management
Manage outside counsel and legal budget effectively
Train and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff as needed
