About the position

As a Senior Assistant Property Manager at Berkshire, you will play a crucial role in overseeing operations for two or more properties, managing a total of over 550 units. Your responsibilities will be primarily administrative, with opportunities for training, sales, and customer service. You will maintain accurate resident records, manage electronic payments, and collaborate with the Property Manager to enhance marketing efforts and resident satisfaction. Your day may involve collections in the morning and assisting the sales team in the afternoon, making your role dynamic and impactful. Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate resident records for multiple properties and update daily
  • Manage electronic payments through the Resident Portal
  • Maintain awareness of local market conditions and trends
  • Collaborate with the Property Manager for marketing property and improving resident satisfaction
  • Follow each property's business plans to maximize value through effective expense control
  • Provide excellent customer service to all prospective and existing residents and teammates
  • Mentor and assist the leasing team as the 'go-to' person

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in the apartment industry
  • Experience in managing people is preferred
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Basic understanding of property budgets
  • Proficient in writing, speaking, and understanding the English language
  • Patience and strong interpersonal skills
