About The Position

The Senior Associate Product Owner supports the strategy, delivery, and ongoing optimization of financial planning tools used by advisors and clients. This role partners closely with product managers, technology teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into clear requirements, prioritize backlogs, and ensure high‑quality, scalable solutions that improve the planning experience. The role is responsible for representing the voice of the user, supporting roadmap execution, coordinating testing and releases, and helping drive adoption, stability, and continuous improvement across financial planning capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a product, technology, business analysis, or operational support role.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and maintaining business and user requirements.
  • Experience supporting delivery of technology solutions, including coordinating work across partners and supporting releases.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional partners, including technology teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Experience supporting advisors or field users on a day-to-day basis, including responding to questions, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating escalations.
  • Experience supporting testing activities, such as test execution, defect tracking, and release validation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document requirements and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of the product roadmap by translating advisor and business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlogs.
  • Partner with product managers, technology teams, and vendors to deliver enhancements, fixes, and releases that improve advisor workflows and tool usability.
  • Represent the voice of the advisor by identifying pain points, validating solutions, and supporting adoption of financial planning capabilities.
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT), defect management, and release readiness to ensure high‑quality, stable solutions.
  • Assist with production check‑out, post‑release monitoring, and issue triage to maintain ongoing tool reliability.
  • Collaborate with vendors to clarify requirements, review deliverables, and support resolution of defects and enhancements.
  • Support business‑as‑usual (BAU) activities, including intake and coordination of support requests and maintenance of product documentation.
  • Develop deep functional knowledge of assigned tools, data flows, and advisor use cases to support continuous improvement.
