About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to support the manufacturing operations by determining the most cost-effective methods of manufacturing components with existing equipment and facilities, as well as proposing new methods and equipment. The role involves ensuring the safe operation of all equipment and processes, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing process issues, preparing justification documentation for capital expenditures, leading or assisting in tool design and manufacturing process development, and developing and implementing cost-saving projects. Additionally, the position requires participation in Lean events that drive productivity and cost improvement, leading quality improvement activities including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions, working closely with product engineering in product changes and new product introductions, investigating and implementing safety and ergonomic changes in the manufacturing setting, and providing technical support and training to direct labor employees.

Requirements

• Ability to travel on business related trips as needed.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Computing literacy with MS Office applications.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• CAD - Inventor preferred.
• Experience in tool design, tool build and modeling.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
• Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment minimum.
• Previous CNC/Plasma experience is a strong plus.
