About The Position

Job duties include being responsible for planning, organization and control of engineering tasks associated with the support of antenna range testing to include signal development, equipment design, integration and adaptation of various test equipment. The candidate will evaluate current test equipment, make recommendations for future expansion, coordinate test activities and resolve engineering design issues concerned with technical development. The candidate will also perform measurements using multiple software data analysis tools, network analyzers, multimeters and other electronic and RF equipment. As a member of the Multi-Sensor Test Facility test engineers will be assigned as the technical lead in the support of antenna range testing efforts for assigned programs and equipment. The candidate will be responsible for the technical performance of the program, antenna testing and the technical interface to the Program Management Office for the MSTF. The candidate will need to have a strong understanding of antenna theory and design, ability to troubleshoot and modify test setups, and experience using various test equipment to conduct extensive verification, calibration, and analysis to optimize antenna performance. Experience in testing and utilizing various types of communication radios, including VHF, UHF, and HF systems, with proven expertise in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and protocols. Must be willing and able to work other shifts, weekends and overtime as required. Willing to travel 10-15% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a similar field and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must be willing and able to work other shifts, weekends and overtime as required.
  • Willing to travel 10-15% of the time.
