  • Communicate with system engineering, hardware engineering, program management, project engineering, material program managers and vendor representatives to meet the schedules for on-time delivery.
  • Read the released engineering documentation and follow the work instructions to assemble units.
  • Order parts from various warehouses and deal with shortages.
  • Understand budgets set for various units and contracts.
  • Understand various forms - serviceable tags, 350 tags, QN's (Quality Notifications), DR's (Discrepancy Reports) and PAR forms (Product Analysis Report).
  • Assemble and review all the First Article documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation is released and correct on each unit sold off in the COTS lab.
  • Repair of various Return and Repair (R & R) and Line Return (LR) units.
  • Coordinate with other functional groups to get units to other areas for functional tests.
  • Use general test equipment for testing units.
  • Troubleshoot errors/issues with processors, switches, routers, etc.
  • Work to strict/fast timelines to deliver completed units when dealing with Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) items.
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Able to assemble, test, and sell-off COTS units.
  • Knowledge of ITAR requirements/processes.
  • STEM degree or related field with a minimum of (2) years of applicable experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
