Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in reading equipment electrical schematics, utilization of electrical test tool and hand tools.
  • Familiarity with refrigeration theory, system diagnosis and troubleshooting.
  • Interface with engineers and customers when necessary.
  • Provide training to other maintenance and lab technicians as needed.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance if necessary
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in the electrical/refrigeration trade.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cascade refrigeration systems a plus.
  • Thermal chamber control troubleshooting and configuration
  • Computer (Microsoft Windows) use
  • Familiarity with dynamic shaker troubleshooting and repair a plus.
