The development team works collaboratively with our faculty to raise between $75-$100 million annually from thousands of individuals, corporations, and foundations. The Sr. Associate Director of Development is responsible for securing major gifts to support Johns Hopkins University and its divisions or departments. The Sr. Associate Director will manage the full life cycle of their portfolio of ($1M+), high potential prospects and donors, implementing strategic fundraising plans, and working collaboratively with university leadership, faculty, staff, and colleagues to achieve fundraising goals. The Sr. Associate Director will focus on securing gifts of $100,000 and above. This position requires travel and meetings on and off campus during regular and non-traditional business hours and is expected to operate with high levels of autonomy. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Development of the Bloomberg School of Public Health, the Sr. Associate Director of Development will bring a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, serving as a catalyst for new opportunities and long-term growth. This individual will identify, cultivate, and manage a robust portfolio of high-capacity prospects, focusing on fostering relationships with principal level prospects at the $1M+ level. This position requires excellent judgement, political tact, advanced fundraising knowledge, and a collegial and team-focused approach to achieving fundraising goals.
