About The Position

About This Role Biogen is seeking a Senior Associate of CoLab and Community Partnering for our Cambridge, Mass. (CAM) location. This person will teach in and enhance the CoLab, Biogen’s flagship community initiative focused on inspiring careers in life sciences and healthcare. This person will deliver Biogen-led science education programs, including classroom experiences, and work with nonprofits and other organizations to implement programming to hold in the CoLab. This person will also serve as the central coordinator for Biogen’s volunteer efforts and community events in the Greater Boston/Cambridge areas. This person will also liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, serving as an ambassador for Biogen and hosting stakeholder experiences in the CoLab. This position requires someone who is poised and effective in public- and partner-facing settings. What You'll Do Lead and Evolve the CAM CoLab Coordinate CoLab classes with local school districts and nonprofit organization where you will teach Biogen-developed curriculum, including hands-on science classes, to teen and adult learners. Manage and grow partnerships with Greater Boston/Cambridge-area colleges, schools and nonprofit organizations to expand access to healthcare and life sciences education and career pathways. Identify potential partners, schedule meetings and facilitate connections between community partners, participants and Biogen operations to support long-term talent engagement and development. Host stakeholder events and experiences at the CoLab and represent Biogen and the CoLab at external events. Lead Biogen Volunteer Engagement Serve as the CAM point of contact for Biogen’s volunteering activities, coordinating site-based volunteer initiatives and community service opportunities. Inspire employee participation through engaging volunteer experiences, service events and community partnerships. Requirements

  • Ability to teach and facilitate hands‑on science learning for teen and adult students
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with schools, colleges, nonprofits and community partners
  • Program/project management experience coordinating educational or community programs
  • Experience planning or supporting volunteer initiatives and employee engagement events
  • Excellent communication and public‑speaking skills
  • Comfort operating with high external visibility; confident and professional in partner‑ and public‑facing settings
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and communicate program outcomes
  • Collaborative, community‑minded, and adaptable in fast‑moving environments
  • Comfort with detail-oriented tasks, including event planning

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in science education, workforce development or youth/community programming
  • Experience designing or improving learning experiences or hands-on programming
  • Comfort engaging with diverse stakeholders, from students to nonprofit leaders to internal teams
  • Knowledge of the Greater Boston/Cambridge area, with an emphasis on its educational and biotech landscape
