About The Position

Within the Capital Markets and Analytics, Resolution and Recovery Planning Office (RRPO) is a critical regulatory compliance function that requires banks to develop strategies, actions, and execution plans to recover from extreme financial stress and, in the event of a failure, to resolve the bank with minimal losses to depositors. The RRPO is responsible for managing and overseeing the Resolution and Recovery Plan development and related processes, including coordination with business partners across all parts of the organization and major risk-management functions. The RRPO Analytics team is seeking a candidate with experience in finance and leveraging Python to build analytical and technological tools. Possessing strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities in addition to communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are also important. This position will be in a fast-paced and analytical environment where you will be handling multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams. You will build and maintain well-managed processes, data solutions, and automated capabilities to tackle challenging business problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Python and SQL.
  • At least 1 year of experience in querying and analyzing and working with data languages and platforms.
  • At least 1 year of experience utilizing a business intelligence visualization tool.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in the financial industry.
  • 2+ years of experience with Python and SQL.
  • 1+ year of experience in securitization, finance, capital markets, or a combination.
  • Proficiency in Scientific Python ecosystems (such as: Pandas, NumPy, Polars, Dask, Numba).

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of analytics and automation for our resolution and recovery planning activities, including balance sheet planning, income statement, capital, and liquidity forecasting, virtual data rooms, and qualified financial contracts.
  • Work closely with various departments and functions to support the development and enhancement of data and analytics used in our Recovery and Resolution Planning.
  • Maintain the efficiency and accuracy of our models and scripts through continuous improvement and application of enterprise best practices.
  • Leverage new technologies to re-engineer and streamline business processes.
  • Contribute to development and submission of documentation to regulatory relations and provide tactical support for regulatory examinations.
