The Sr Associate Business Continuity is responsible for developing, analyzing, implementing, and overseeing strategic business processes and plans aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and achieving financial goals. This role involves managing partnerships with various stakeholders, conducting business continuity planning, and ensuring the company can operate during and after major disruptive events. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying risks and developing strategies to mitigate potential adverse conditions affecting business operations.

  • Develops, analyzes, implements, and oversees short-term and long-term strategic business processes and plans.
  • Presents and implements business case recommendations and tactical/operational strategies based on analysis of global and industry trends.
  • Manages and develops strategic partnerships with business functions and stakeholders.
  • Identifies and analyzes the company's strengths, weaknesses, and business opportunities to optimize strategies.
  • Monitors industry trends, competitor actions, and regulatory environments to plan for impacts on operations.
  • Ensures the correct functioning of facilities and business support services.
  • Conducts business continuity planning to assure essential functions can operate during major disruptions.
  • Develops strategies to mitigate impacts of adverse conditions such as disasters and cyber-attacks.
  • Implements and monitors business continuity planning programs and coordinates testing and evaluation.
  • Provides documentation and training on business continuity action plans.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management, Business Continuity Planning, Business, or equivalent field.
  • 9+ years of experience in business continuity planning or relevant fields such as emergency management or disaster recovery.
  • Master's Degree or MBCP (Master Business Continuity Professional) preferred.
  • Strong technical and research skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to capitalize on business opportunities and refine production processes.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of core banking systems, Hyland Web Director, BI, and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Banking experience and knowledge.
  • Ability to understand and draw conclusions from research conducted.
  • Ongoing sense of urgency and high level of flexibility.
