Role Description: As a Senior Associate, Sustainable Brokerage in the Sustainability & Technical Advisory Group (STAG) within Tri-State Leasing Advisory, you will collaborate closely with the STAG Lead to develop and execute the STAG operational approach and capabilities, as well as support business development and delivery efforts across the team. You will run point on keep the team organized and on top of critical functions through prospect, pursuit and project tracking. You will provide organizational direction on communication and collaboration across MS Teams, Email, OneNote and other relevant platforms. You will be a key contributor to the overall STAG marketing and engagement strategy, driving “getting the word out” and gaining exposure to key constituencies which will drive the business at large. Additionally, you will support business development efforts through presentations and upfront sustainability analyses, as well as delivery through collateral development, research, analyses and communicating complex ideas to key stakeholder audiences. This crucial role demands a strategic mindset and the capacity to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, directly contributing to the growth and success of this new business initiative.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-7 years’ experience in real estate, corporate sustainability, consulting or program/project management preferred
  • BA/BS degree in environmental science, engineering, real estate, finance, accounting, business, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in presentation delivery, client-ready collateral development and client engagement preferred
  • Experience interfacing with commercial real estate brokers, landlords and corporate sustainability teams preferred.
  • Possess strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Required. Hybrid arrangements available with emphasis on in-office presence at least 3 days / week.
  • This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Building Performance Standards (LL97, BERDO, BEPS…) a plus
  • Experience with any of the following a plus: ENERGY STAR, LEED, WELL, Fitwel
  • CEM, CEA, CxA , PE, LEED AP, WELL AP and/or Fitwel Ambassador a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop efficient delivery processes to enhance our service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Create marketing and business development collateral to support our growth strategies.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operations of the sustainable brokerage function.
  • Perform corporate sustainability assessments to help clients improve their environmental performance.
  • Conduct market analysis and engage with landlords to identify sustainable real estate opportunities.
  • Develop and negotiate leasing clauses that incorporate sustainability considerations.
  • Provide consulting advisory services pre-transaction to ensure sustainability is integrated into real estate decisions.
  • Qualify leads and develop project scopes to ensure alignment with company goals and client needs.
  • Create compelling proposals and presentations to showcase our services and value proposition.
  • Participate in pitches and engage directly with clients to win new business.
  • Proactively engage with sustainability and real estate contacts to build a strong network.
  • Attend conferences and networking events to represent the company and identify new opportunities.
  • Conduct proactive meetings with brokers to foster relationships and identify potential collaborations.
  • Respond to meetings with brokers and potential clients/partners to address their needs and explore business opportunities.
