Requirements

  • Live and work in Phoenix, AZ, Scottsdale, AZ, or surrounding communities.
  • Architect license in Arizona.
  • Master of Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture Degree
  • Mastery of Autodesk Revit
  • Substantial experience in leading project teams on complex architectural projects through each phase of a building’s design and construction.
  • Fundamental understanding and experience in the development of project specifications in MasterFormat.
  • Experience with preparing opinions of probable costs or cost estimates.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide own means of reliable transportation for occasional day and/or overnight trips including travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.
  • Experience and willingness to work in a remote or home/office environment while continuing to effectively perform all job responsibilities coupled with the willingness to work in a traditional office environment as needed to support project, staff, and/or client demands.

Nice To Haves

  • 12 years minimum experience following achievement of a professional architectural degree.
  • 8 years minimum as a licensed Architect in the United States.
  • Extensive previous experience with facility planning and design within one or more of the following market sectors: Municipal including Public Safety, Transit/Public Transportation, Housing/Hospitality
  • Multiple state architecture licenses
  • AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, PMP, GGP credentials
  • Marketing and sales of professional services
  • Business development aptitude and experience
  • Proven record of profitable project management on large projects ($20 million +) and a successful record securing such work
  • Recognized and well-connected with client representatives and prospective clientele; Acknowledged as an expert in one or more market sectors
  • Experience and ability to mentor junior architectural staff through the design process
  • Previous experience in proposal and client management; proven history in leading and winning proposals and project pursuits
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite including Microsoft Project
  • Rendering proficiency in Enscape, Lumion and/or Twinmotion
  • Proficiency with Newforma, Bluebeam and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams on complex architectural projects through each phase of a building’s design and construction.
  • Serve as Project Manager on complex projects including the management of budgets, workload forecasting and invoice approval.
  • Develop and acquire new architectural projects with new prospective clientele.
  • Market SEH’s services and participate in technical proposal development and interviews for new work.
  • Manage communication between design team, clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Provide design review and quality control on complex projects.
  • Supervise and mentor junior employees.
