About The Position

H2M Architects + Engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm headquartered in the New York Metropolitan Area and seeks a Registered Architect to join our Boca Raton team. H2M has an architectural practice of over 100 architects and is looking for leadership to assist in the development and growth of our architectural practice and multi-disciplined offices in Florida. Come join our multi-disciplined team of architects, engineers and environmental scientists in our Boca Raton, FL office. We’re looking for a Senior Architect with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the architectural consulting industry who is an advanced leader and can assist with the development and application of vision and direction within the architectural discipline, secure work and provide management of staff and oversight of architectural production and document coordination. Strong technical knowledge, project, business, business development and client management skills are necessary. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated person committed to the highest levels of professional conduct, ethical responsibility, and can lead a team, provide guidance and set an example for others to follow. Requirements

  • 15+ years of architectural consulting experience (10+ years project management, and 5+ years of staff management experience) along with an established client following (or name recognition) with a FL client base.
  • Extensive knowledge of Architectural Design.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD (or related CAD programs).
  • Exposure to Revit and other BIM software.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and to work and thrive in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of project specifications & CSI division formatting.
  • Knowledge of professional and construction contracts.
  • Project financial oversight and management skills required.
  • Strong organizational, time management & multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required.
  • Professional FL RA, required.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Architecture Discipline Directors and Florida Office Director to build an architectural presence in FL.
  • Work with H2M Market Leaders and FL Office Director to seek out and secure work to grow our FL client base.
  • Work with FL Office Director and H2M Architecture Discipline Directors to build a FL architecture staff.
  • Manage and monitor activities for multiple projects and provide technical and design guidance and direction.
  • Provide quality assurance/quality control for projects being managed/supervised in accordance with departmental and corporate policies.
  • Serve as a client contact for multiple clients and be involved in client negotiations and project execution.
  • Foster existing and develop new client and professional relationships.
  • Oversee the execution of departmental and corporate goals specific to the project and group.
  • Employ operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable practice policies and performance measures.
  • Assist in the management and development of department resources along with Office Manager and Discipline Director.
  • Assist in the development of and execute a Business Plan for growth of the H2M architecture practice and clients in FL.
  • Assist with the technical preparation of major proposals and prepare letter proposals.
  • Assist in the development of departmental standards and guidelines as needed for work being executed.
  • Actively participate in technical or professional organizations
  • Perform other like duties as assigned
