Sr Applied Scientist, AWS Proactive Security
About The Position
In this role, you will design and build a foundational data mapping utility that enables next-gen security automation across the Amazon business. As GenAI takes foot into the daily lives of every worker at Amazon, it is clear that high quality data context enables high quality outcomes. Requirements
- 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
- PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
Nice To Haves
- Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.
- Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.
Responsibilities
- Lead the research, selection, and development of the appropriate data mechanisms to scale to meet the data context needs of Proactive Security and Security Assurance programs, to the ultimate goal of reducing the manual interaction between security and Amazon builders, while maintaining a high security bar.
- Work closely with Software Engineers and Applied Scientists to leverage the latest generative AI models to solve complex data mapping problems and increase our data mapping coverage and reasoning capabilities.
