Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience in reinsurance accounting or a related field.
• Technical expertise in accounting and finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in using accounting/reinsurance software and other relevant technologies.
• Strong Microsoft Suite skills (excel/word/PowerPoint/etc.).
• Willingness to embrace new and emerging technologies.
• Experience with regulatory reporting and compliance in the insurance industry.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.
• Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Exhibit a keen eye for process improvement and a willingness to drive change to processes.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage various complex reinsurance treaties across multiple entities ensuring financial requirements are met.
• Analyze and interpret reinsurance contracts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting of ceded reinsurance transactions.
• Take ownership of assigned treaties and act as the primary point of contact for external reinsurers, auditors, third party administrators and internal management.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve reinsurance accounting processes.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate them into the finance and reinsurance accounting functions.
