About The Position

We’re building our data foundation from the ground up, and we’re looking for someone who can help shape it. As our Senior Analytics Engineer, you’ll take ownership of developing, standardizing, and scaling our dbt project that will power analytics across the organization. You’ll bring structure to a growing, complex data landscape, helping establish how data is modeled, governed, and delivered from ingestion through BI. You’ll work closely with data analysts, engineers, and product stakeholders to define best practices, enforce conventions, and guide the evolution of our DBT project. You’ll be a player-coach: hands-on with modeling and SQL the majority of the time, while helping the broader team adopt dbt workflows, version control, and solid data practices.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with dbt Core and SQL (Snowflake preferred, MSSQL a bonus).
  • Proven ability to design and maintain scalable analytics models and define standards for others.
  • Strong understanding of modern data stack principles and Git-based workflows.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to gather requirements and shape data solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience preferred, especially value-based care

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain dbt models in Snowflake, implementing scalable, well-documented data structures.
  • Establish and enforce modeling standards, naming conventions, and version control practices (GitLab).
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor teammates on dbt and SQL development patterns.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business processes and translate them into clear, reliable data models.
  • Help formalize internal documentation and onboarding materials for analytics engineering practices.
  • Contribute to data governance and quality frameworks to ensure consistent, trusted data outputs.
  • Partner with engineering on integrations and data pipeline improvements (Dagster familiarity a plus).

Benefits

  • Health Coverage You Can Count On: Full employer-paid HMO and the option for a flexible PPO plan.
  • Wellness Made Affordable: Discounted vision and dental premiums to help keep you healthy from head to toe.
  • Smart Spending: FSAs to manage healthcare and dependent care costs, plus a 401(k) to secure your future.
  • Work-Life Balance: Generous PTO, 40 hours of sick pay, and 13 paid holidays to enjoy life outside of work.
  • Career Development: Tuition reimbursement to support your education and growth.
  • Team Fun: Paid company outings and lunches because we work hard, but we also know how to have fun!
