In this role, you will be a Data Engineer on the Vizient PrefTech team. You will be accountable for two primary functions: (1) developing and evolving the various data products within the PrefTech platform, and (2) delivering support to the advisory services team by answering technical questions, addressing data issues, and building reports related to Vizient's preference card management service. This position requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively within a scrum team to deliver new features and enhancements to the PrefTech platform. As a Data Engineer, you will design and develop data-related improvements to the PrefTech software platform, including new ways to analyze and report on ingested data. You will serve as a subject matter expert on the various data elements ingested and managed within the PrefTech platform, providing support to both internal and external customers. Your role will also involve assisting with user training and technical support related to the PrefTech platform, ensuring that customers can effectively utilize the tools and features available to them. You will be responsible for owning the customer onboarding process as it relates to the collection and ingestion of platform data. This includes understanding technical requirements and seeing them through to completion. Writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code while promoting best software development practices and embracing emerging technology standards will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will manage your time effectively to ensure that development milestones are met or exceeded, and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding progress with development and data management projects.
