Requirements

• 3+ years experience in a sports trading role required
• 3+ years experience in an analytical role preferred
• Technical skills in SQL, Python, Google Apps Script, cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) preferred
• Experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data processing and streaming is a plus
• Experience in developing tools and systems for a trading department a plus
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Extensive knowledge of sports betting products and terminology
• High level of personal initiative and motivation
• Aptitude for project management and ability to clearly communicate updates at all stages of project lifecycle through delivery
• Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time

• As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification. In addition, candidates must comply with and support BetMGM's responsible gambling policies, procedures, and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Tool & System Development: Design, develop, and maintain tools that support trading operations, including automation solutions and risk management systems. Work closely with trading teams to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
• Alert & Monitoring Systems: Develop and implement real-time alerts and monitoring systems to identify anomalies, opportunities, and risks in the trading environment. Continuously refine and optimize alert systems based on feedback and performance metrics.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze trading data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform trading strategies and tool development. Generate reports and dashboards that provide clear and actionable insights to trading teams and management.
• Collaboration & Support: Work closely with stakeholders across the trading department to ensure tools and systems meet the needs of the team. Provide training and support to trading teams on new tools and systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in sports betting and trading. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the trading function. Lead or participate in special projects aimed at enhancing trading performance and operational efficiency.
