About The Position

The Global Strategy & Asset Allocation team is seeking a highly analytical and execution-oriented Senior Analyst to support LMI’s next phase of its $3.5bn tax credit investment mandate. This individual will have a primary focus on U.S. tax credit solutions as part of clean/renewable energy and advanced manufacturing project financing. The mandate comprises both transferable tax credits and traditional tax equity structures (e.g., partnership flips, hybrid/t-flips), and the individual will play a key role in the evaluation, structuring, execution, and management of investments. This role sits at the intersection of structured finance, project development, and energy transition policy, offering exposure to a high-growth segment of capital markets that scales across LMI’s portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a leading institution (Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering preferred)
  • 2 - 5 years' related work experience in renewable energy investing, tax equity, project finance, structured credit, or related private market roles
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills (including financial modeling and transaction document review), decision making ability, and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work across functions and with external stakeholders including developers, sponsors and investment advisors
  • High comfort level working in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to produce detail-oriented, accurate and consistent work product
  • Comfortable making investment recommendations to and fielding questions from an investment committee
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, thriving in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to new initiatives and platform-building

Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of the investment lifecycle for transferable tax credits and renewable tax equity deals, including financial modeling, due diligence, risk assessment, and investment committee preparation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Corporate Tax, Legal, Risk, Accounting) and external counsel to support execution of various tax credit structures including transferability, tax equity partnership flips and hybrid structures.
  • Monitor portfolio investments, including key project milestones, recapture risks, and compliance obligations. Assist in quarterly reporting and support integration with downstream finance and accounting teams.
  • Contribute to the development of a repeatable, institutionally scalable approach to tax credit investing, including pipeline management tools, execution workflows, and internal governance tracking.
  • Provide timely insights on renewable energy markets, tax policy developments, sponsor quality, pricing trends, and evolving investment structures in the clean energy tax credit landscape.
  • Interface with renewable energy developers, sponsors, and syndicators to source new pipeline opportunities and maintain deal flow visibility.
  • Work independently in a flat/lean team structure and promote a culture of collaboration, being willing to work cross-functionally to add value across the organization.
