About The Position

Supply Chain Planning is responsible for ensuring the right quantity of products arrive in the right place, at the right time and cost. This job family is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning, supply planning, deployment planning, inventory planning, collaborative planning, expediting, purchasing and the design and implementation of the supply chain network. Supply Chain Planning utilizes supplier contracts and manufacturing parameters to exceed customer service level commitments while optimizing supply chain costs and inventory. Supply Chain Planning leverages technology to achieve best in class processes to position supply chain as a competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience preferred.
  • BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
  • Preferred experience in supply chain, demand planning and/or procurement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Multi-Tasking in a fast-paced environment with multiple internal teams regularly including sourcing, sales, and warehouse.
  • Analyzing historical data and input from Sales to forecast demand by customer, item, and product class.
  • Determining parameter settings in the replenishment system: safety stock, lead times, and order cycle.
  • Issuing purchase orders to suppliers in the most efficient manner.
  • Expediting inbound shipments as required to achieve key performance metrics.
  • Apply LEAN principles in collaboration with suppliers to reduce cycle time and improve fill rates.
  • Aligning suppliers with Cardinal Health Operations to minimize total systems cost.
  • Complying with laws and regulations as they pertain to services provided by the Company.
  • Promptly reporting any information regarding a known or suspected violation of any applicable laws, regulations, standards or company policy.
  • Representing the culture and values of the Company to other groups, agencies and the general public, and ensure accuracy of public information materials.
  • As applicable, attend in person training, cross functional meetings and/or internal/external conferences.
  • Attending all required Compliance, HIPAA and other scheduled training.
