About The Position

We are seeking a Sr. Analyst, Strategic Sourcing to join our team and contribute to high-impact sourcing initiatives across a variety of indirect spend categories. Reporting to the Director of Complex Strategic Sourcing, this role is focused on delivering measurable value by supporting sourcing projects, analytics, savings identification and reporting, driving cost savings, and optimizing supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong analytic skills, experience with strategic sourcing methodologies, strategies, and tactics, and possess a data-first approach to problem-solving, enabling deployment to any high-priority opportunity across MVW’s spend.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, engineering, mathematics, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with demonstrated success in contributing to complex, high-value sourcing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with sourcing methodologies, negotiation strategies, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure and analyze complex data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with analyzing large data sets and data analytics solutions (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, JMP, SAS, SPSS, etc.).
  • Experience with advanced analytics strategies such as should-cost modeling, purchase price variance (PPV), SKU proliferation, Montecarlo simulations, nonlinear and multivariate regression analysis.
  • Awareness of sourcing technologies such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, iValua, Zycus, or similar tools.
  • Experience across multiple indirect spend categories.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed spend analysis such as total cost of ownership modeling, should-cost modeling, and scenario analysis.
  • Manage savings reporting and analytics for Sourcing categories.
  • Leverage advanced analytical tools and methodologies to enable leadership decision-making and quantify the impact of sourcing initiatives.
  • Support development and execution of end-to-end sourcing strategies for projects across indirect categories.
  • Analyze spend data and identify opportunities to drive cost reduction, value creation, and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Support the development of category management value strategies, including demand management, supply management, and process & controls related opportunities.
  • Support supplier engagement, negotiation, selection, and contract development processes.
  • Engage with strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and support mitigating risks by ensuring compliance with contractual terms and monitoring supplier performance metrics.
  • Provide expertise across a wide range of indirect categories, ensuring deep knowledge of market trends, pricing structures, and supplier capabilities.
  • Research and educate the broader sourcing team on market dynamics and identify innovative solutions to improve business outcomes.
  • Support sourcing initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Engage with diverse business and cross-functional support teams and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and results.
