About The Position

As a Senior Analyst in the Finance team at Gap Inc. headquarters, you'll play a key role in supporting financial operations for a large, multi-brand retail organization. You'll collaborate with numerous business partners across various organizational levels, providing critical data, analysis, and guidance to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to assess financial impacts and perform thorough variance analysis to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • High personal accountability and ability to influence others while nurturing key business relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong emotional intelligence and capacity to perform under strict deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, for managing and analyzing large datasets.
  • Ability to solve for operational and/or program/system issues and develop preventative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams across all organizational levels.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely monthly forecast reporting to key stakeholders, ensuring timely distribution.
  • Support financial close processes, internal reporting, and provide analysis for key stakeholders.
  • Analyze key expenses during budget, forecast, and close cycles, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Provide financial analysis and support to internal groups, including Corporate Real Estate, Real Estate Finance, and Corporate and Brand FP&A.
  • Investigate and explain expense variances to forecast, budget, and prior year; proactively identify efficiency opportunities and collaborate on solutions to improve accuracy and reporting.
