Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board! This position is a mainline American Airlines role, within the Regional Planning and Strategy organization. This team has the unique opportunity to work with multiple groups (both internally and externally) while making decisions that directly improve performance for nearly half of American Airline's daily departures. The position will be active in examining all aspects of the regional business, including project work covering a wide variety of strategic, financial, and operational analyses.

  • Liaise with Network Planning and the Crew Planning teams at each partner airline to improve the flight schedules and help make them more efficient for pilot and flight attendant productivity.
  • Drive operational reliability through targeted schedule improvement initiatives.
  • Act as the point of contact externally, and source of truth internally, for crew capability information from the regional carriers.
  • Lead workforce planning readiness initiatives - as well as tracking and reporting - across the six regional carriers and two ground handlers.
  • Develop forecasts and presentations to provide internal recommendations regarding staffing supportability and special programs.
  • Lead and coordinate with the Ops Performance & Planning team on deep dive projects.
  • Develop competitive industry studies and key performance indicator (KPI) metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Aviation, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3+ years of commercial or operational experience.
  • Preferable work experience in Network Planning, Crew Planning, Operations Planning, Financial Planning, Revenue Management, Fleet Planning, etc.
  • MBA not required but helpful.
