About The Position

Position Purpose: The Sr. Analyst Pricing Analytics will provide analytical support, project management, and subject matter expertise in developing and executing data-driven strategies. They will perform complex data analysis, develop new metrics, create visualizations, and solve business questions using insights, analytics, and judgment. This position will work independently and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure end-to-end thinking on strategy and execution. Additionally, they will be responsible for creating thoughtful data architecture and pipelines to ensure scalability and understand how data collection impacts metric reporting. This position’s workload is typically broken out as follows: Ad-hoc analysis work to support business decisions; Develop new metrics for measuring the value of retail projects; Create Tableau dashboards to visualize insights from data; Design and implement scalable data architecture and pipelines.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
  • Ability to learn very quickly and independently
  • Business acumen
  • Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data
  • Strong communication skills: verbal and written
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other statistical software or pricing packages (i.e. SAS, Minitab, DemandTec)
  • Ability to build relationships and work cross functionally with business partners

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ yrs business experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in SQL
  • Ability to work independently and lead projects
  • Excellent data visualization and presentation skills in Tableau and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and measure pricing actions to understand the trade-off between units, sales and gross margin. Utilize learnings to help merchants reach financial objectives
  • Conduct research to become subject matter expert on a specific segment of pricing and statistical analysis
  • Work across the organization and leverage cross functional teams to provide expert analytical support (i.e. domestic logistics or global supply chain costs
  • Develop and deliver influential presentations that summarize complex analyses and drive effective business decisions
