About The Position

The Plan Achievement Sr. Analyst at Ross will be responsible for managing a variety of assignments and analytics to support allocation strategies for both Ross and dd's brands. This role involves evaluating sales performance, identifying opportunities for effective allocations, and translating strategic goals into actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate will work independently, providing sound analytics and communicating insights to leadership, while also supporting training efforts for junior analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • 3+ years equivalent work experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, SumProduct, If Error, H-lookup, arrays, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to independently analyze complex data sets and summarize recommendations
  • Experience with retail software (JDA or other allocation software) is a plus
  • Supervisory experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Monitor region, division, and/or store inventory position in relation to sales trends.
  • Lead weekly business meetings to communicate results and inventory opportunities/risks to leadership.
  • Work with the NY Planning team to review in-month receipt management and preseason opportunities.
  • Build tools needed to evaluate performance and project forward-looking trends.
  • Assess department reports for accuracy and identify opportunities for improved execution.
  • Manage store callouts and perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
  • Support Analysts in reviewing business results and teaching new concepts.
  • Drive timely and effective communication with internal and external business partners regarding allocation strategies and results.
  • Provide weekly communication to Allocation leadership of results and inventory opportunities/risks.
  • Independently develop compelling materials and provide business insights on allocation goals and strategies.
