About The Position

Exelon is leading the energy transformation, and we're calling all problem solvers, innovators, community builders and change makers. The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate the bi-weekly payroll for 28,000 employees from start of the cycle to confirmation when checks are printed. This includes managing daily workflow of payroll processing to ensure deliverables that comprise the bi-weekly pay cycle and acting as a liaison with Payroll Operational Support to monitor and assist in delivering process improvement initiatives. The role also provides back-up to the Manager-Payroll Processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field and 4-7 years of relevant experience, or 6-9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable payroll applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to delegate and lead a small team on specific tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily tasks of the bi-weekly processing of payroll checks to confirmation, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Peoplesoft payroll configuration, inbound and outbound feeds, query and report validation.
  • Responsible for processing the Executive payroll, which encompasses all executive compensation payments processed through payroll, and serving as the primary point of contact for active and termed executives.
  • Coordinate the exception processing and annual special payments such as LTIP and DCP Distributions.
  • Provide direct assistance with the Operational Support team on Payroll specific system changes and configuration, developing and implementing process improvements as deemed beneficial to Payroll.
  • Provide business user sign off for all new configuration, system enhancements, tax upgrades, etc.
  • Responsible for miscellaneous tasks including BCP Coordinator, SME on Archiving, and primary contact with Check Print vendor, monitoring inventory and tracking invoices.
  • Provide full assistance and support with internal and external audit requests.
