About The Position

This role is responsible for performing comprehensive financial analysis and operational oversight related to new acquisitions. The Senior Analyst will participate in pre-close and post-close accounting, working capital, and opening balance sheet calls with the target. The Senior Analyst, with support from the Manager, will be responsible for calculating working capital estimates pre-close, calculating working capital true ups post close, assisting with preparation of the opening balance sheet by gathering support for the balance sheet accounts and preparing and posting journal entries in accordance with Acrisure deadlines. In addition, the Senior Analyst will work with Financial Planning & Analysis, obtain and review the financial pro-forma and upload it into Workday. This role also provides support to the Corporate Accounting team to ensure Workday companies and cost centers are established in accordance with Acrisure policy. The Senior Analyst will also assist in tracking working capital holdbacks, other acquisition related holdbacks and escrow balances. By providing detailed reviews, developing solutions and strategies, and surfacing actionable insights, the Senior Analyst ensures accuracy and efficiency while supporting the Manager with escalated issues and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Advanced financial analysis and critical thinking skills, with the ability to conduct variance analysis and develop actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to manage complex deliverables such as initial working capital, opening balance sheets, partner communications, and accounting reporting.
  • Solid understanding of insurance industry financial practices and compliance considerations.
  • Proficiency with GL systems and demonstrated ability to validate and interpret data for accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial results clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and resolve issues independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to efficiency initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance brokerage/related industry accounting background.
  • Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, SAP) and insurance GL systems (e.g., Applied, Vertafore, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Review acquisition due diligence file, document potential accounting issues and concerns and present work for Manager review and discussion.
  • Participate in calls with acquisition target, M&A team and corporate accounting to document conversations.
  • Assist in preparation of initial and final working capital.
  • Facilitate payment settlement process.
  • Assist in preparation of the final opening balance sheet, obtain documentation to support opening balance sheet, prepare journal entry and review calculation with Manager.
  • Document and track holdback and escrow balances for new and existing acquisitions.
  • Assist in holdback and escrow reviews to ensure qualifications are met for release of payment.
  • Confirm bank information and complete wire support documentation.
  • Participate in post-close call with acquisition, document conversation and assist in follow up summary outlining Acrisure Accounting expectations, month end close requirements and deadlines.
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliation process and prepare certifications in designated Acrisure system on a monthly basis in accordance with month end close deadline until reconciliations are stabilized and then hand off to Financial Accounting Team.
  • Assist Manager in complete monthly Floqast check list for designated partners.
  • Ensure partner submits Trial Balance timely and in accordance with month end close deadline.
  • Assist Manager in mapping of initial Trial Balance to Workday.
  • Perform Workday journal entries associated with working capital and opening balance sheet as needed.
  • Uphold confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial information in all operational activities.
  • Provide support for special projects, strategic initiatives, and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, courteous, 'best in class' service to partners, insurance companies, leadership team and all staff.
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the design and implementation of solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
