About The Position

Energy Transfer is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Measurement Analyst. This position will be responsible for providing support to operations and other related disciplines with measurement analytics and activities. The role involves manual entry of third-party volumes and liquid quality data, using measurement data system tools to analyze both imported and manual volumes, and ensuring accuracy and balance in all units of measure. The successful candidate will maintain the integrity of meter and volume information in the measurement data system for assigned assets and create, review, and distribute various analytical reports needed to validate the accuracy of measurement data. Additionally, the position requires providing loss/gain support to accounting and field measurement personnel, working with third-party companies for data exchange, and reconciling tank and truck tickets in measurement systems.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of relevant job-related experience for Analyst level.
  • 5-8 years of relevant job-related experience for Senior Analyst level.
  • Experience with FLOWCAL reviewing and editing liquid balance configurations and volumetric data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Aptitude for analyzing data.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift rapidly.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Flow-Cal, or other liquid measurement systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manual entry of 3rd party volumes and liquid quality data.
  • Analyze both imported and manual volumes and liquid quality data using measurement data system tools.
  • Maintain integrity of meter and volume information in measurement data system for assigned assets.
  • Create, review, and distribute various analytical information and reports to validate measurement data accuracy.
  • Provide loss/gain support to accounting and field measurement personnel in tracking custody transfer issues.
  • Work with third-party interconnecting companies to ensure timely and accurate measurement data exchange.
  • Prepare and provide current and historical meter information for verification of gross and net volumes.
  • Work closely with measurement technicians and field operations supervisors to resolve balance issues.
  • Reconcile tank tickets in measurement and/or accounting systems with SCADA generated reports.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute monthly Gain/Loss reports for Crude Pipelines and Terminals.
  • Trend meter factors by system and terminal with explanations of variances.
  • Schedule and host balance review meetings with field measurement and operations groups for assigned pipeline assets.
  • Maintain detailed notes documenting balance review meetings and edits performed.
