About The Position

The Sr. Analyst, Financial Analytics plays a key role in delivering accurate, insightful, and actionable financial reporting and analytics that empower leadership to make informed business decisions. This position focuses on financial data management, reporting automation, and business intelligence development, while supporting core FP&A activities such as forecasting, variance analysis, and financial consolidation. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally across Finance, Accounting, and operational teams to streamline data processes and enhance reporting capabilities as MetroNet continues to grow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency with Power BI or similar BI tools, advanced Excel, and experience with SQL and/or other coding languages.
  • Willingness to work as a team and independently.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and key performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to manage and consolidate large datasets into meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial consolidation across FP&A, ensuring accurate and timely aggregation of forecasts and results.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards in tools such as Excel and Power BI to provide visibility into business performance.
  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes through data preparation, validation, and analysis (but not direct ownership of those deliverables).
  • Perform variance and trend analysis to explain performance drivers and support decision-making.
  • Automate and enhance recurring financial reports to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A teams to improve data structures, reporting consistency, and process automation.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to help business leaders understand performance metrics, cost drivers, and ROI opportunities.
  • Support FP&A’s strategic initiatives by contributing analytical rigor and BI-focused solutions.
