About The Position

The Hershey Company is dedicated to integrating Sustainability & Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into our operations and decision-making processes. We are seeking a dynamic Sr Analyst, ESG Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Controllership team to help deliver our enterprise sustainability strategy and programming. The Sr Analyst, ESG Finance will support the ESG Controller as an essential member of the Chief Accounting Office & Controllership team, collaborating with cross-functional departments across the company (Sustainability, Supply Chain, Controllership, Finance, Legal, Commercial, among others) to integrate sustainability principles into financial planning and decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of analytical or financial experience, with preferred experience in Supply Chain Finance, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations, Sustainable Finance, or Strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA, MBA or similar qualifications preferred).

  • Experience with ESG and Sustainability preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Enterprise ESG Forecast consolidation and variance analysis to inform enterprise investment decisions and prioritization, and prepare associated presentation materials for cross-functional meetings, as well as Executive and Board level materials as needed.
  • Support Supply Chain Finance in preparing and coordinating bi-annual commodities forecast analysis for Sustainable Ingredients and Packaging investments.
  • Serve as a financial business partner to the Sustainability team developing ad hoc financial models and providing financial thought leadership to inform choices around strategic projects and initiatives (e.g. environmental or human rights impact projects, sustainable sourcing projects, sustainable packaging initiatives, etc.) as well as other transformational projects requiring financial analysis and support.
  • Identify and leverage innovative financial tools to apply best practices in integrating sustainability risk and opportunity considerations into financial planning, operations, and investment decisions (e.g., climate scenario planning, internal carbon pricing, capital expenditures, innovative financing opportunities (sustainable bonds, shared industry partnership investments), etc.).
  • Provide ad hoc financial updates on Sustainability investments and forecasts to cross-functional business partners as requested (e.g., Investor Relations, Corporate FP&A, Supply Chain Finance, etc.).
  • Support the ESG Controller with ESG disclosure data collection and analysis, and other special projects within the ESG Controllership, as needed.
