About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is working to once again transform the future of flight—designing, building and servicing engines unlike any the world has ever seen. The P&W Earned Value Analysis and Reporting organization is looking for a self-motivated and disciplined individual to join its team as an Earned Value Analyst. This position provides the candidate with a unique opportunity to work together with the Program Management Office and Engineering customers. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and analysis in the areas of Project Management, Budgeting, Scheduling, and Variance Analysis used in the execution of the Military Engines Programs, specifically the F135 Development Military Program. The candidate will become an integral part of the F135 program management team, providing analysis and recommendations utilizing Earned Value tools and methodology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2+ years of experience; or an Advanced Degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a minimum of 2+ years of analytical and trending skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Earned Value experience and analytical problem-solving skills with knowledge of specific program management tools (i.e. SAP, Primavera).
  • General understanding of and openness to continuous improvement principles.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working across functions, organizations, and various levels of management with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable executing under pressure in a dynamic environment with the ability to focus on results to drive tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Support proper implementation of EVMS and project management tools and processes through coordination with and guidance to the technical areas as they develop, plan, and analyze tasks.
  • Provide project management guidance to program team to ensure adherence to Earned Value Management System (EVMS) guidelines.
  • Perform risk assessments and what-if analysis associated with task budgeting and program performance.
  • Actively support monthly program Estimate-at-Complete reviews and Monthly/Quarterly Program Review preparation activities.
  • Facilitate monthly data reconciliation and compile compliant Earned Value or project plan data approved by the program manager and provide to the external customer.
  • Support ongoing compliance reviews and periodic process audits (e.g. DCAA, DCMA and Joint Surveillance Review).
  • Ensure strict attention to detail and internal and external customer satisfaction focus to meet aggressive demands of military compliance programs.
