About The Position

Sandisk is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst who will serve as our competitor knowledge expert for Sandisk’s Consumer business. As a key member of the Global Consumer Strategy team, you will deliver world-class competitive and market intelligence findings to enable our cross-functional partners to make informed decisions that strengthen Sandisk’s market leadership. We are seeking a candidate who excels in competitive research and analysis, adept at monitoring industry players and synthesizing both quantitative and qualitative insights. This role requires experience in conducting end-to-end competitive analysis, from market share tracking and product mapping to teardown reporting and macro trend evaluation. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical foundation and business acumen, capable of distilling complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. This candidate must also demonstrate sharp communication skills, creating compelling competitor reports and presentations that spark productive discussions and drive strategy across the business. As a Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst, you will be a trusted expert in the Sandisk Consumer space, reporting directly to the Head of Global Consumer Strategy located in our Milpitas office. This role offers flexibility of full remote work on a standard schedule, five days a week.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in business, economics, strategy, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in competitive intelligence, market analysis, or strategy consulting.
  • Proven success in analyzing market share, competitor positioning, and macro/consumer trends.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools for data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling reports and executive-ready presentations.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills; able to distill complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of managing multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate or advanced level degree in business (i.e., MBA).
  • 5+ years of competitive intelligence or strategy experience.
  • Experience in top-tier management consulting or corporate strategy group in tech.
  • Strong familiarity or background in consumer technology and/or data storage.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze key competitors across the storage and consumer technology landscape, delivering both quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Map top competitor products against Sandisk’s portfolio by category, region, and good-better-best framework.
  • Track and update competitor market share trends with clarity and consistency; in collaboration with Sandisk Corporate Market Intelligence and Consumer Data Analytics team.
  • Build and maintain detailed ‘tear-down’ decks per key competitor – highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning.
  • Conduct continuous competitive pricing analyses across our Sandisk Consumer product portfolio; identifying position gaps, value opportunities, and cross-regional/channel pricing dynamics to influence our overall pricing strategy.
  • Share insights and recommendations with senior stakeholders (sales, product, marketing, finance, strategy) to guide investment and competitive actions.
  • Track macro trends (i.e., consumer spending shifts, regulatory changes per region, geographic opportunities) that impact the consumer storage industry.
  • Conduct market sizing analyses to evaluate entry into new categories or geographies based on competitor activity and/or macro shifts.
  • Present findings in clear and compelling formats, such as well-structured presentations, fostering collaboration among teams, facilitating meaningful discussions, and motivating actionable decision-making.
  • Establish credibility as the in-house expert on Sandisk’s competitive landscape.
