POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr. Analyst, Business Intelligence (Power BI) owns end-to-end Power BI reporting and analytics. This role serves as the primary Power BI contact for business users with responsibility for analytics, data ingestion, validation, reporting, issue resolution, and stakeholder support. The position has an exceptional customer-service focus and supports all business units within PBSd.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in data or financial analysis (excluding internships)
  • Experience with media, digital distribution, or streaming analytics
  • Experience with BI tools, including report building, data manipulation, and basic administrative functions
  • Bachelor's degree, Business, or Economics preferred or equivalent related experience
  • Advanced level skills with Excel, Power BI, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), SQL, Power Query, and data modeling
  • Advanced level skills with data warehouses, data lakes, and enterprise BI environments
  • Proven ability to manage reporting in SLA-driven environments
  • Ability to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled functionality within Power BI and related tools (ex., Copilot, AI visuals, predictive analytics, machine learning integrations)
  • Proficient with Airtable or other cloud-based relational databases, such as Zapier tables, coda, quick base
  • Understanding of Database (DB structure), Structured Query Language (SQL), R, or Python programming for basic or intermediate data analysis and transformation
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, understand periodic data to identify trends in the business
  • Advanced level Excel skills (PowerPivot, Data Models, Index/functions, Lookups, Pivot-tables, data organization, etc.)
  • Intermediate PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including documentation
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder management, attention to detail, customer service, and critical thinking
  • Desire and ability to learn new systems and methods quickly
  • Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently
  • Resourcefulness in solving problems

Responsibilities

  • Support all Power BI activities, including data ingestion (automated and manual), transformations, and report refreshes.
  • Ensure reports and data processes meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs); perform quality control and proactively resolve issues.
  • Support enterprise data strategy in partnership with Analytics & Data Services and Systems & Support across Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), Data Warehouse, and Data Lake platforms.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and execute one-off Business Intelligence (BI) support requests.
  • Own Power BI lifecycle including the following elements:
  • Partner with business units to gather requirements and prioritize work in collaboration with the Sr. BI Manager.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Power BI requests, issues, and communications.
  • Maintain Power BI models, formulas, and transformations, ensuring alignment with enterprise data standards and a single version of truth.
  • Ensure consistency with existing Power BI reports as well as legacy reporting sources and support data cleaning and labeling efforts as needed.
  • Deliver clear, intuitive data visualizations that meet end-user needs and User Interface (UI) standards.
  • Provide documentation, training, and support for new and existing reports.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
